Santa Claus is coming to town...

We went to see Santa today in Old Town Fort Collins.  I thought about sitting on Santa's lap and telling him what I wanted for Christmas, but I decided to let Will sit on Santa's lap instead (and it worked much better).  Santa was so nice and when I asked him if he got tired of smiling, he said "Smiling is my default state."  It was a great experience, and we all had fun!

Will is so smart, if I do say so myself!  :)  He loves identifying his bath animals and has gotten quite good at some of his favorites, including the dolphin, whale, penguin, duck, and his favorite, the WALRUS!

Snow!

We got our first real snow of the season, so I took Will out to play in it.  Here are some of my favorites!

Budweiser Tour

Today we went on a tour of the Budweiser Tour in Fort Collins.  The great thing was that the clydsdale horses were there.  They are based out of Fort Collins, but are only there 40 days of the year.  Even today they were leaving to go shoot a Christmas commercial.  We had a great time.

 

 

This was William's favorite part of the tour - the canning process.

It was REALLY windy - and Will kept sticking out his tongue as he was walking :)

Family Photo

Sorry I've been so negligent updating the blog lately.  Hopefully I can get back into it!

 

Our big news coming up is that we are coraising another puppy with my friend Stacie!  The puppy arrived last weekend (thanks Stacie for picking it up!).  It is a yellow male lab puppy named Phantom, born on Sep 9.  He is super cute!    We will have him the week of Thanksgiving.

 

Here is a picture of the 5 of us! :)  My what a big family!  William wasn't quite sure what to make of the puppy, but he does know how to go around and say "Woof Woof" when you ask him what a dog says!

 

Gorilla Warfare

Rob's family was in town visiting, and we all went to the zoo.    More cute pictures of William coming later, but while we were there, we saw these two gorillas fight at the zoo!  It was scary!

Slam Dunking William

For William's birthday we gave him a slide with a basketball hoop.   He just figured out how to put the ball into the hoop.   Make sure you watch the video all the way through!

He's growing up so fast!

I can't believe he's almost a year old!  Rob and I took these pictures of him out in our backyard the other day to capture him before he grows out of this cute outfit!

William is almost one!  I've been taking pictures of him every week in the same chair to watch as he grows.  Here's a video I made of all the pictures.

Fence Staining!

This weekend we spent many many hours staining our fence. 

First we power washed it... the part on the left is after the power wash, the part on the right is pre-power wash.  It was exhausting, but fairly easy.  We also cleaned the whole fence first with a TSP/Bleach mixture found on the box of the TSP powder.  It worked well on the mildew.

I know it has been a while, but we've been busy around here.  We got back from a great trip to California.  One of the things we brought with us was the Microsoft tablet, the Surface.  On the Surface, Will has learned to play a new game.  We are so proud of him!  I know, it's silly, but fun!

 

Mother's Day

Rob bought me a hammock for my very first Mother's Day.  It is perfect, and we got to spend today relaxing in the hammock.  All three of us can fit in the hammock at the same time, and Irene comes next to us and drops her ball into the hammock.  A true family bonding time!

Happy Cinco De Mayo

I had fun dressing Will up for Cinco De Mayo!  We went to a Kentucky Derby/Cinco De Mayo party yesterday and he was a star of the party with his maracas and sombrero.

 

 

 

A day at the park

Last weekend was nice enough that Rob and I took a walk to the park with Irene and Will.  There was still some snow on the ground, but it was warm outside - gotta love Colorado weather!  Here are a few pictures of us playing!

Clapping

Will learned a new trick yesterday - how to clap! And boy did he clap. All day he clapped and clapped and clapped :)

 

Week 31

Will turned 31 weeks today, just over 7 months old!  We are so blessed to have a pretty happy little kid!  I've been taking pictures every week, so here are his pictures from this week.

Here is my latest scrapbook I've been working on!  Just sent it off to be printed today, as the sale ends tonight at midnight.  Thank goodness for deadlines or I'd never get these done!

Here is the scrapbook I've been working frantically on, trying to get a little bit caught up in time.  This brings me up to November of last year, so only 6 months behind.  Could be worse, right?

First Word?

So, I could prentend that Will is already talking.  But he isn't.  But in the below video it looks like he is!  I'm going to declare that his first word is ma-ma!

Ok, so it's a bit early for Easter, but the next few weekends are going to be busy, so I decided to take some photos ahead of time.  Thanks to this awesome setup Rob got me for my birthday and thanks to an adorable baby, here are some cute pictures, if I do say so myself!

We've been having fun introducing Will to solid foods... tonight we tried green beans.  We'll let you be the judge of if he liked them....(listen to the very end of the 9 second video)
