Pirate Day

On Saturday we went on a pirate adventure.  Will pretended to be a pirate, and I took pictures of him.  We had a blast!  (and we got some funny looks from some other people on the trail)

Cruise Scrapbook

Biking Adventure

Rob and I are really enjoying the nice spring weather these past few weekends.  Last weekend we took William on a bike ride to some construction sites - he had a lot of fun since one of his favorite books is "Dig Dig Digging" about diggers and dump trucks!

 

New Toy

So I got a new toy ( a late Christmas present).  It is a little device that helps me do time-lapse videos on my camera.  I'm still getting used to how it works, but here are a few samples that I've made over the last few days.

 

This one is of Will sleeping, from about 8:30pm to 1pm.  I turned on the light around 9:15 once I knew he was asleep so I could get better pictures...  Luckily he stayed asleep, even through the shutter sound and everything.

 

This next one is of Will playing with his cars.  Real time was probably about 20 minutes, while I was making lunch.  As you can see he is one busy boy!

Who is this cutie?!  He makes me smile!

 

A day at the pool

We took Will swimming yesterday at Mulberry Pool.  It is a city pool which has a water slide and a nice kid area.  William seemed to like it, but he got cold really fast so we only were there for about 30 minutes.  It was fun to hang out as a family!

 

Growing .... growing ....gone!

William turns 1.5 this week!   I can't believe it - it seems time has gone by really fast.   Rob and I have a lot of fun with him, whether it is bath time, playtime, or mealtime.   These days when we go on walks William can walk alongside us and keep up which is pretty amazing. And he is talking a lot!   He says a lot of words like ball, moon, blue, mama, orange, no, yep, purple, bubble, etc.  

No No No!

William now is talking a lot! One of his favorite words is no. In fact, sometimes he'll say "no" is the answer to what ever question we ask. Last week he was being especially cantankerous, so we took this video of him and his favorite word ...

What Makes William Laugh?

Usually William is pretty reserved.  But tonight he just kept giggling during his bath as I would blow bubbles from his hand.  He sure is a silly guy!  It made both Rob and I smile and it is times like these we love being parents!

Santa Claus is coming to town...

We went to see Santa today in Old Town Fort Collins.  I thought about sitting on Santa's lap and telling him what I wanted for Christmas, but I decided to let Will sit on Santa's lap instead (and it worked much better).  Santa was so nice and when I asked him if he got tired of smiling, he said "Smiling is my default state."  It was a great experience, and we all had fun!

 

Will and his bath animals

Will is so smart, if I do say so myself!  :)  He loves identifying his bath animals and has gotten quite good at some of his favorites, including the dolphin, whale, penguin, duck, and his favorite, the WALRUS!

Budweiser Tour

Today we went on a tour of the Budweiser Tour in Fort Collins.  The great thing was that the clydsdale horses were there.  They are based out of Fort Collins, but are only there 40 days of the year.  Even today they were leaving to go shoot a Christmas commercial.  We had a great time.

 

 

This was William's favorite part of the tour - the canning process.

It was REALLY windy - and Will kept sticking out his tongue as he was walking :)

Family Photo

Sorry I've been so negligent updating the blog lately.  Hopefully I can get back into it!

 

Our big news coming up is that we are coraising another puppy with my friend Stacie!  The puppy arrived last weekend (thanks Stacie for picking it up!).  It is a yellow male lab puppy named Phantom, born on Sep 9.  He is super cute!    We will have him the week of Thanksgiving.

 

Here is a picture of the 5 of us! :)  My what a big family!  William wasn't quite sure what to make of the puppy, but he does know how to go around and say "Woof Woof" when you ask him what a dog says!

 

Gorilla Warfare

Rob's family was in town visiting, and we all went to the zoo.    More cute pictures of William coming later, but while we were there, we saw these two gorillas fight at the zoo!  It was scary!

Slam Dunking William

For William's birthday we gave him a slide with a basketball hoop.   He just figured out how to put the ball into the hoop.   Make sure you watch the video all the way through!
